A Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Mullet

Garrett's grandparents came to visit for 2 weeks on their trip home to Montana. What a pleasure it was to have them here! They adored the boys and the boys adored them! Josiah had fun playing with Grandpa's cane and Eli was always ready with his smile! We enjoyed Wii bowling each night and we all got pretty good! Grandma and Grandpa even washed the dishes after every meal!
At the end of their visit, Lloyd and Karen came to visit for the weekend as well. Josiah made a new friend with Karen! He loved playing and laughing with her! I wish I had video of them laughing back and forth and each other! We ended their trip with a visit to the Creation Museum on Sunday. It was a wonderful two weeks with them and we were sad to see them go! We hope we can visit sometime soon!

Learning to Crawl

For the past couple of weeks, Eli has been rolling all over the room. I lay him in one spot, leave the room, and come back to find him in another. And so begins the frustrating month of trying to crawl. He wiggles on his belly for a while, trying to figure out how to move, only to get frustrated and start crying. I hate this time when they want to crawl but can't quite get it only to cry.

Josiah is a wonderful big brother. He will lay down on his belly right in front of Eli and talk to him. Eli loves this and laughs everytime. Josiah's vocabulary is growing. His favorite words include "dude", "oh geesh", "no", and "Dad". I can only imagine what he will be like when he is really talking with words.

I'm pretty sure that no one reads this. But just in case, I had to get the lap top fixed and haven't been able to post. They had to replace the hard drive as well which means that I don't have any pictures on my lap top now. I will have to get to work in taking some more!

Until then, have a wonderful Christmas!

Nebraskan Thanksgiving

Last week Garrett and the boys and I went to Omaha, Nebraska along with my parents, older brother, Brian, younger brother, Kris, and sister,Kate, and her husband, Todd. My Grandma, which is my Dad's mom, just celebrated her 89th birthday. On Friday, we all celebrated Thanksgiving together. Josiah had fun playing with my cousins, Andrew (pictured), Jonny, and Jeremy. I enjoyed good conversation with my Aunt Sheri. Eli enjoyed all of the attention that came with being with family. And Garrett enjoyed being on vacation from work! He also enjoyed getting to know some and meet some of my family.

We also got to meet some of Dad's friends from high school. I certainly learned a thing or two about my Dad!

It was a fun time hanging out with family we barely know. Most of them we haven't even seen for over 10 years! Garrett and I enjoyed spending time together and with our boys! It was also nice to see my sister and her husband since they live in North Carolina.

Trying again

I've tried this blogging thing before and it didn't really amount to much. But I'd like to give some of my family and friends a way to keep up with our family. So maybe if I am posting pictures of the boys and maybe even getting feedback, I will be more motivated to keep up with blogging!

Josiah is now 16 months old and Eli is 5 months old! They were right when they told me that time would go by more quickly when I had children!
