Happy 2nd Birthday Elihu James!

Elihu James

You certainly are a funny boy!

You are talking like crazy now. And you say the funniest things.

You don't like to watch movies as much as your older brother.

You love to read books and will shove a book at anyone who comes over and is sitting on the couch.

You are very good at saying "Peeze!" and "Mank you, Mommy!" when you should.

You can be quite bossy towards your brothers and sometimes even me.
I still think its cute though.

You love Solomon and know how to make him smile.
But you call him "Sol-mon".

You like to have cereal for breakfast and call every cereal "Cheerios".

You like to push the cart and help put things in it when we go shopping.

You are a good little helper. You like to put things in the trash can when asked.

You have the most adorable run. You run up and down the hallway saying "Nrun! Nrun! Nrun!" and waving your left arm in a funny fashion.

You call your big brother "Si - sah".

You have a very contagious laugh.

You still eat more than Josiah most of the time.

You give wonderful kisses and like to tell me you love me!

And I love you too!

Happy Birthday Sweet Eli!

Josiah Funnies

Garrett and I were talking and I mentioned that something would be funny. Josiah overheard this and said, "Hahahaha! Thats funny!"
~~~
I had just fed Solomon and gotten him to sleep in his car seat (we were heading out the door) and Josiah started to play with Solomon. I asked Josiah to please stop playing with Solomon as he was sleeping! Josiah did not listen and I had to tell him a second time. This time, his response was, "No, he's MY Solomon!"
~~~
Eli was sitting on his car and Josiah was pushing. I told Josiah to stop because its not nice to push and he could hurt Eli. Josiah responded, "But he's touching me and I'm trying to get the bug!" Okay maybe its not so funny, but I'm amazed at how well he putting sentences together.
~~~
A lot of his sentences lately have started with "He, he, he is...."
~~~
He wanted me to take him outside. But I told him that I should brush hair first. So he ran into the bathroom and grabbed a baby brush and came back and started to brush my hair. He then stepped back, looked at it, and said, "Thats better!"

The Beach

For the past two weeks, Garrett, Josiah, Eli and I have been visiting my sister, Kate, and her husband, Todd, in North Carolina. Unfortunately, Todd was out in the field for most of that time but we were able to keep Kate company while he was gone. On the weekend, Kate took us to the beach!

Josiah loved playing in the water and sand!

Eli didn't like the water so much! Garrett carried him for a walk along the water!

Okay, I can admit that I wrote that in the sand, not Josiah. But it makes for a fun picture!

This is a picture of our third child at the beach! haha!

We visited a fishing pier. It wasn't my favorite - it smelled. And there was pelican that was definitely thinking about attacking us!

Horses and Cars

Josiah loves horses.
No doubt about it.
He wakes up and wants to look at horses.
And then he looks at horses all day,
a book,
a movie,
on the computer with us.
And then he plays with his toy horse.
And 'Woody' rides around the living room.
"Bid-i-ga, Bid-i-ga, Bid-i-ga, Bid-i-ga!"
Translation: "Giddy up, Giddy up, Giddy up, Giddy up!"
Oh, how he loves his horses!

Eli has become a climber.
He walks with his car.
And he is starting to keep up with is brother very well.

20 Weeks and Counting...

until Baby #3 makes their appearance!

Boy or Girl? Any thoughts?

Thursday, July 23, 2009

Would you believe that this young man will be 2 years old in just a week (31st)?

Josiah David

You:

like to read
give your brother good night kisses
like to eat fruit
look like me when you smile
like to play with Legos with your Daddy
like popsicles
say "cow" a lot
like to play "outsideh"
like to play with your cars
watch the movie Cars
call your brother "Ottyga"
run up and down the hall panting like you're out of breath
point to my belly and say "baby"
say "shh" when you see a baby sleeping
like animals

And this little man is already 13 months old!

Elihu James

You:

smile with your entire face
say "oo oo"
say "boo" when I pull your shirt down over your head
try very hard to keep up with your big brother
make a big mess when you eat
stand on your own just fine until you notice and then you grab something quickly
have an indentation in your sternum
still take two naps when your brother lets you
no longer use a pacifier
still chew on anything you can get in your mouth
like splashing in the bathtub

Balloons!

Since Garrett works in the afternoon (3pm - 11pm), we get to spend the mornings with him. This morning, while I was working on massive amounts of laundry, Garrett took the boys outside to play with water balloons that Eli got for his birthday!

Josiah kept trying to pop the balloons and was still surprised when water came out!
